BIG VILLAIN RELEASES DEBUT ALBUM

You want rhymes? We got ‘em. You want hooks? Oh we got hooks, too. You wanna hear stories about struggle and street smarts set to a lush and melodic soundtrack? On May 8th, 2012, after three years underground, Big Villain released its first incarnation of original music. This collection of twelve tracks features vocalist Toussaint Morrison’s smooth and crafty lyrics over producer Reid Kennedy’s rhythms and grooves. The supporting cast includes some of the Twin Cities finest as well as musicians from both coasts. The credentials are abundant, but the music speaks for itself.

Big Villain is not your overly glamorized, shallow, dismissible hip hop. It is not the product of a label executive or a business model. Big Villain is not about pushing buttons and making beats. It’s about making music. It’s about development. It’s about hooks that you won’t be able to forget for weeks at a time.

It’s clever.

It’s deep.

And you need to hear it.

Now.
