The Groove According to Adam

Adam Rossmiller is a man of many talents.  On any given night you might find him playing New Orleans music with the Jack Brass Band, jazz with Snowblind or Pete Whitman’s X-Tet, R&B with Ronn Easton’s Soul Revue, or a handful of other genres with many different groups. What most people might not know, however, is that Adam’s musical roots can be traced back to the early 90s and A Tribe Called Quest.  He knew every lyric and isn’t afraid to tell you about it.  Yes, a man with a Doctorate in the Musical Arts is a fan of hip hop, and he appears on two tracks from Big Villain’s debut album.  Here he sits down to talk backbeats, the art of the song, and Miles Davis.
